Vero Beach
Sunrises...Not High rises. Coastal Living Magazine designated Vero Beach as one of the happiest seaside towns in the US. Vero Beach is known for its small town charm and world class luxury. There is so much to explore in Vero Beach - from ocean front resorts, restaurants, and shopping to organic farms, sporting clays shooting and airboat rides in the St. John's Marsh. It's a community with culture, first class medical facilities and excellent schools - both public and private.
Sebastian
Breathtaking waterways - a nature lover's oasis. Sebastian is nestled between Vero Beach and Melbourne along the Indian River Lagoon - North America’s most biologically diverse estuary - and is conveniently located across from Sebastian Inlet, People from all over come to Sebastian for its premier fishing and surfing. Sebastian is home to Pelican Island, America’s first National Wildlife Refuge. It's also known for skydiving, hiking, kayaking and abundant birding and wildlife viewing.
Orchid Island
Long ago, a Captain named Frank Forster sailed to Orchid and gave the town its name. Later, Stephen Michael and his son, A.B., planted citrus trees in the area. Their plantings evolved into the world-famous Indian River Citrus. Also located on Orchid Island is the Historic Jungle Trail, an 8 mile long sandy road that's in the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in the 1920s so that citrus growers could haul their produce up and down the barrier island. Also, the exclusive Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club is located here.
Indian River Shores
The Town of Indian River Shores consists primarily of low-density, gated residential communities with approximately 4,000 citizens as full time residents, with that figure nearly doubling during peak season. Many residents donate their time on committees and boards or volunteer throughout the community. The town has its own post office and lovely community center amidst centuries old oak trees. The exclusive John's Island Club has both a beach and golf club in Indian River Shores.
Hutchinson Island
Time is easy to spend on Hutchinson Island – with the beach, eco-systems and habitats, fishing, watersports, fascinating historic spots and museums. Hutchinson Island is one of the few areas in Florida that allows horses on the beach. The endangered manatee – Florida’s beloved “sea cow” – is found here, and you can also see whales that migrate here each winter to give birth to their young. Collecting sea shells along the beach is another favorite thing to do st Hutchinson Island.
